Yellow Roses

Yellow roses in various states of bloom. Clean and simple. Elegant and tasteful.
When one thinks of yellow flowers, sunflowers immediately pop into your head. When we same roses, red or white would be more common.
I can’t remember if I ever gave my wife yellow roses. I’m pretty sure I have not because of the association that stuck with me when the color yellow is mentioned.
When I was in grade school, a classmate gave me a rundown of colors and their meaning. Blue is for bravery, red for courage, purple for royalty, white for purity, black for death and yellow - for jealousy. To this day, whenever I see the color yellow, the word jealousy still pops in my mind.
But looking at these images of yellow roses now, they can hold their own beauty compared with the more known shades of the flower. They are bright yet they do not blind you. They seem to be lightly-colored yet strike you as a solid block of light.
Mental note: Send her yellow roses next time because you have not done so yet, to be different.
