Island Garden City of Samal

Have you been to a place where you can relax, sit back with a cool drink while watching the world goes by? If you haven’t, then come and visit the beautiful Island Garden City of Samal. This island is part of Metropolitan Davao. Samal Island (Island Garden City of Samal or IGaCOS) is one of the best visiting island in Mindanao and also one of the fastest growing tourist destinations in the Philippines. This island is nested in the Southern part of the country and sits in the Asia Pacific rim. It is just a 5-10 minutes boat ride away from Davao City.
Samal Island offers exciting features whether in the beach or through the woods. This island is famous through its pristine white sand beach resorts. Â There are a number of awesome beach resorts present in the island. Some of the resorts that we have already visited are Paradise Island, Bluejaz and Pearl Farm which I will be blogging in the next few days. Â Â All of these beaches do have their own wharfs and can be reached by boat from Davao City. Although all of the beaches share the same water, they offer a different mix of ambiance and activities. Various water sports are also offered from real daredevils to those who love to be surrounded by marine life. Vanishing island is also famous to the tourists in where this island actually vanishes during high tides. This small island is perfect for diving, snorkeling, swimming or even just simple beach combing.
The adventure in Samal Island not just stops in the beach. This island is also famous through its stunningly beautiful nature spots. One of the famous nature destinations is the bat cave where 1.8 million foul-odored bats inhabit the cave. It is known to be the largest population of bats in the world. Scientists also said that these bats play a great part of the soaring production of durian in this part of the country. Another famous nature destination is the Hagimit Falls. This small waterfall has a natural swimming pool and different rock formations. It is approximately 2 kilometers away from Peñaplata- one of the municipalities in Samal Island.  Anyway, I will be blogging more details about these two famous nature destinations anytime next week.
Many mountain climbers also love Samal Island. Climbers from different neighboring towns usually stay overnight at its summit which is known as Puting Bato. If you want to discover the hidden secrets if Samal Island, you can avail the Island Tour in where you will get to experience touring around the Samal Island. The tour usually takes one whole day to encircle the whole Samal Island. You will see beautiful landscapes of the island as well as the vast Pacific Ocean.
So are you tired of seeing the busy streets, start to feel bored or tired of the pressure from work? Come and visit Samal Island for a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.
