Mount Kitanglad Range Natural Park

One of the famous attractions of the Province of Bukidnon, just located in Intavas, La Fortuna, Impasug-ong, Bukidnon is the famed Mount Kitanglad Range Natural Park. This is said to have the highest peak above sea level which tenders a test to the brave mountaineers to climb up the peak. The mountain is the home of the Philippine Eagle and many other rare bird species. The vicinity also has different species of bonsai trees, wild orchids and wild flowers that grows everywhere. Just recently, the biggest flower in the world was discovered in the mountain.

Upon going up the summit, you will be surprised and fascinated with the picturesque view of the waterfalls of Mount Dulang-dulang. What makes it a lot more fun and refreshing is when you eat your meal while sitting at a rock and just completely being speechless about the majestic surroundings that lay ahead of you. Mountain climbing experiences are very much unpredictable since you go through a lot of steep trails, messy muddy surroundings, big rocks, creeks to cross over, etc. yet one thing’s for sure, with every step, you sure will have big time fun especially when sharing the adventure with your loved ones . Experiencing this kind of adventure helps you stimulate physically and mentally; which is setting up your mind on reaching the summit without getting in to accidents. Going up really was a tough challenge, and yet all the perspiration and adversity disappeared when you reach the peak. It already will be a great fulfillment in you.

Upon doing this kind of activity, be sure to be rightly equipped. Windbreaker pants or jacket will be the best suit to go up the mountain because it helps you protect from the heat of sun and from the long grasses, or maybe even from forest leeches that will suck your blood out. Also because upon reaching the summit, you sure will freeze since it is very cold especially at the peak. Wearing pump shoes or rubber shoes that has spike also helps you in preventing from sliding down and get into accident, since some trails are slippery. You must also need to wear hand gloves and bonnets to shield you from cold since you’ll be it gets colder on high altitudes.

At the peak, be ready to be delighted as you will be able to see the panoramic view of Bukidnon and Cagayan de Oro City. They have their cabin which could cater up to 20 persons and each cabin has 50 watts bulb that would help you keep warm. They also have an electric stove where you can cook and prepare your food. Having this type of adventure really is fun and very fulfilling and I can really say that it’s worth trying for and in any chance, I would really love to climb again soon.
