Vanishing Island at Samal Island

Have you ever had a really excellent time staying at a certain place yet limiting your stay at the same time? Well come on and visit the renowned Vanishing Island where you can get little time yet stupendous adventure of a lifetime. This small island is located at Barangay Tambo, Island Garden City of Samal. So have you ever questioned yourself why it is called as it is? Well it is not just a random name to start with because Vanishing Island really does vanish when the tide gets high. It is one of the reason tourists visits Samal Island, Davao City.

The island has been urbanized by the local establishment. Mangroves trees have also been planted on the island. The sea bed is grassy and sandy below. You can reach the Island of course by first getting to Samal Island itself since Vanishing Island is found and is part of Samal Island. Aside from Pearl Farm and Bluejaz, Vanishing Island is also one of the best places to spend summer with your family, friends and colleagues. It is also a great spot for children to do snorkeling and beach combing. If you find your stay to have been very short, worry not because there is a cottage just right at the middle of the Island, so you can actually stay there for as long as you want because it cannot be reached by the tides for the fact that it has been elevated. Yet, most of the people who visits there are hesitant to stay knowing that the tides could rose up in quite a short time.

Bluejaz Beach Resort and Waterpark at Samal Island

Looking for extreme adventure while enjoying the scorching heat of the sun? Then come and visit Bluejaz Beach Resort and Waterpark. This resort is all packed with outdoor and water sports such as beach volleyball, wake boarding, and jet skiing  to name a few. They also offer pearly white sand with crystal clear water in their private beach. No wonder this resort is listed as one of the top ten beaches in Samal Island. It is also hailed as the largest waterpark in Southern Philippines.  With an entrance fee of P90.00 per head, it is worth every penny for all its amenities and the place itself.

Bluejaz is known for its gigantic waterslide. In fact, this slide is the longest waterslide in the Philippines. We first tried this famous waterslide. They will charge you for P90 for using their slide but this is all worth your money since you can use the slide for the whole day.  I was scared to try at first but since we were in a queue, I was challenged to slide down. The guide told me that I have to lie down and place my hands across my chest so that the water will be able to push me harder. After my first slide, all my fears are gone and replaced by thrill and excitement that I want to slide again.  I slide over and over again and we even tried to slide with floats together with my sister. When my mom and dad saw us really enjoying the slide, they even tried it since there is no age limit in using the slide.
