Vanishing Island at Samal Island
Have you ever had a really excellent time staying at a certain place yet limiting your stay at the same time? Well come on and visit the renowned Vanishing Island where you can get little time yet stupendous adventure of a lifetime. This small island is located at Barangay Tambo, Island Garden City of Samal. So have you ever questioned yourself why it is called as it is? Well it is not just a random name to start with because Vanishing Island really does vanish when the tide gets high. It is one of the reason tourists visits Samal Island, Davao City.
The island has been urbanized by the local establishment. Mangroves trees have also been planted on the island. The sea bed is grassy and sandy below. You can reach the Island of course by first getting to Samal Island itself since Vanishing Island is found and is part of Samal Island. Aside from Pearl Farm and Bluejaz, Vanishing Island is also one of the best places to spend summer with your family, friends and colleagues. It is also a great spot for children to do snorkeling and beach combing. If you find your stay to have been very short, worry not because there is a cottage just right at the middle of the Island, so you can actually stay there for as long as you want because it cannot be reached by the tides for the fact that it has been elevated. Yet, most of the people who visits there are hesitant to stay knowing that the tides could rose up in quite a short time.

Samal Island Tour
Summer break is always fun. We are eager and excited to be free from the school and work routine. We are very fortunate to be one of the tourists to experience the island hopping this year. The sun rise at east and the big day started. Together with my family, relatives, international and local tourist gathered together at the small pier in Samal Island at exactly 6:00am. But before the island tourstarted, we picked up more tourists in Davao City. We were in total of 200 tourists on board with five tourist guide. There is also a rescue boat following us in case of emergencies.
We first spotted the Vanishing Island where you can find spectacular mangrove trees. Then we passed through the rest house of Congressman and sports icon Manny Pacquiao. The rest house is still small since it is still new and I guess someday Manny Pacquiao will build his own resort in Samal Island. I’m so happy because our guide is very accommodating. The tour guide entertains us whenever we reach a part where there’s no nice view around in order for us to stay alive and happy. As our boat runs, we were able to see different features of the different resorts.

Island Garden City of Samal
Have you been to a place where you can relax, sit back with a cool drink while watching the world goes by? If you haven’t, then come and visit the beautiful Island Garden City of Samal. This island is part of Metropolitan Davao. Samal Island (Island Garden City of Samal or IGaCOS) is one of the best visiting island in Mindanao and also one of the fastest growing tourist destinations in the Philippines. This island is nested in the Southern part of the country and sits in the Asia Pacific rim. It is just a 5-10 minutes boat ride away from Davao City.
Samal Island offers exciting features whether in the beach or through the woods. This island is famous through its pristine white sand beach resorts. There are a number of awesome beach resorts present in the island. Some of the resorts that we have already visited are Paradise Island, Bluejaz and Pearl Farm which I will be blogging in the next few days. All of these beaches do have their own wharfs and can be reached by boat from Davao City. Although all of the beaches share the same water, they offer a different mix of ambiance and activities. Various water sports are also offered from real daredevils to those who love to be surrounded by marine life. Vanishing island is also famous to the tourists in where this island actually vanishes during high tides. This small island is perfect for diving, snorkeling, swimming or even just simple beach combing.
